From Invisible to Unstoppable

Feeling the Fear of Judgement?

PSA — No one is going to buy from you if they don’t know you exist.

Sounds obvious, right?

Well, apparently, not so much. You see, I talk to people every day who are terrified of becoming visible in their businesses and, in some cases, their lives because the truth is, once you become visible, you put it all out there and get noticed (which is the point), but then you’re open to public opinion, and that’s not something that comes easily to the best of us.

The fear of judgement lives in all of us (even the ones who look like they have it all together) and can be so paralysing that we simply don’t move forward. Instead, we decide to stay where we are, in that comfort zone of getting by, like some entrepreneurial limbo, which I imagine is painted in a hospital waiting room beige but, you know, with comfortable chairs.

In case we haven’t met properly, my name is Tricia and I write a business love letter with a side of real talk every Monday. Today, I am here to give you a roadmap out of the beige and into a neon, flower-filled, bustling cafe of opportunity — perhaps in Paris with a disco ball and pink lattes.

Back to the point.

You can’t be static, you can’t be hidden, and you can’t hope to thrive if your audience doesn’t know you exist.

So what is the answer? It’s not as scary as it sounds (honest!) We live in a connected, digital age, and reaching an audience has never been easier. Even better news to those of you currently cowering away from your screen is that you can build up your visibility, and it’s not that hard to do. Blogs, email marketing, slide deck webinars, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are all accessible and available to you right now.

Hate the thought of video? Write. Don’t like to write? Share ideas in a forum. Sick of Zoom meetings and would rather poke pins in your eyes than attend another virtual meeting? Get onto Google and find local face-to-face events.

Video, podcasts, networking, interviews, collaborations, online forums and groups, pamper parties — whatever floats your marketing boat, I guarantee there’s something out there for you; you just have to make it happen.

So, go ahead and get involved. Say hello and make yourself known. Be a friendly face and have a voice and an opinion. Remember, people buy from people, and if they don’t know you, how can you expect them to trust what you have to say or offer?

My challenge today is to do one thing to put you and your business in the public domain.

Just one thing.

You can do that! I know you can.

Feel free to drop me a line and let me know how you get on!

I believe in you (always),

Tricia xo
